What a wonderful feeling to be able to deliver 75.6 pounds of food to Family Services this month. This cornucopia of goodness included 10 box meals (e.g., hamburger helper), 3 macaroni and cheese dinners, 2 rice-a-roni mixes, 9 cans of canned ravioli, an 8 pack of ramen noodles. 2 pounds of spaghetti, a 5 pound bag of flour, a 5 pound bag of brown rice, a huge container of instant mashed potatoes, 7 cans of pork and beans, 6 cans of evaporated milk, 1 box of powdered milk, a box of honey cornbread, a box of quick bread mix, and 14 assorted canned foods. Whew! We were busy this month. Thank you again to all who contributed.
Our next collection will be our program meeting on February 20, 2008. The theme will be “heart healthy” foods since February is our "heart" month. This may include foods like beans, canned vegetables, brown rice, canned fruits, etc. If you have any questions, please contact Deborah Severo.
